Rikaeyu grinned, rather happy at the moment. She couldn’t believe that she had actually been able to get Drew to say yes to her. It was such a shock! Well, kind of a shock. But it didn’t matter much, he had said yes to her and that was all that mattered.
She had a couple of textbooks, her cell, paper, and bits of odds and ends here and there for her studying. She couldn’t wait till her last class was over, it felt as though it was taking forever though. Sitting in her last class, Riyu couldn’t help but feel a bit anxious, waiting for the teacher to say ‘Class is Dismissed’. She lost focus for a moment, thinking about this and that. But it wasn’t long until she heard those three wondrous words.
As she walked out of her last period class, she stopped by her locker to grab a couple of extra items, such as a couple of water bottles, and headed to the school entrance. She hadn’t really given him a place to meet her, so she waited outside the stairs for him to get there.

Drew's eyes snapped open at the sound of the teacher saying his name "Mister Wallace?" He sighed and leaned back into his chair; why was he always the one getting singled out? "What?" Drew asked, in his this-is-so-boring voice. "Could you answer the question I just asked you?" The teacher questioned him as he neared closer. "Uhm, can you repeat the question?"
The teacher only laughed at him and walked back towards his desk. Drew rolled his eyes, the teachers at this school never punished anyone over anything. If he got up and just punched a kid for no reason, he wouldn't get in as much trouble as he would if this were a 'normal' school. Drew looked up at the clock, class was just about over, and he was excited for his study session with Rikaeyu.
The only problem was that he had no idea what they were supposed to be studying. So, for the last four periods he had been lugging around all of his text books. He made a mental note to ask Rikaeyu what exactly they were going to be studying next time. Drew was jolted out of his thoughts by the three words, that over the past couple of months he had attened this school, practically meant freedom.
"Class dismissed!" The teacher declared, as the other students grabbed thir backpacks and proceeded to leave. It took Drew only a few moments longer to get packed up because it was hard to keep his balance once he had his huge backpack on, which completely screwed up his balance.
Rikaeyu hadn't mentioned an exact stop for where to meet him, so he just went to the entrance, which is where they actually made the plan that morning. Drew pushed open the dor, and there she was, waiting for him. "Well, I'm here," He said, grinning as he dropped his backpack off of his back, which landed with a loud thud.

Rikaeyu examined her gloves, fiddling with them as she waited by the door. She was just… just so excited! No one had commented on her hair or her eyes, which did disappoint her a bit… but then again, not that many people really talked to her or paid attention to her. She was the foreigner, the girl that no one really cared to talk to. She was the one that all of the students talked about under their breath just because she was smart and anti-social. But at least she had one true blue friend. One friend that could lighten her day whenever she needed it to be brightened. One friend that probably would never share her feelings but hey, that happened to everyone!
Students passed by and she ignored them, her eyes closed. It wasn’t until that very familiar and calming scent filled the air around her that she opened them. Happiness and excitement were the first emotions that she felt. And then anxiety, for god knows what reason. She just realized something. She didn’t know what she actually wanted to study anymore. She had it all planned out in her head but suddenly her mind went blank. What did she want to study?
Her thought was interrupted by the boy, the wonderfully cute and sweet boy. She returned his grin with her own slick smile. ”Nice to know that you remembered,” she joked. Maybe not the best joke, but still, she didn’t know much about Americans yet. ”Well com’on and follow me. I have the perfect spot picked out in the shade closer to the front gates. Well, not the front gates… more like closer to the woods but, you know what I mean, right?” And there she went, getting all tongue-tied and what not. She hated it what this happened to her. Why did it always happen to her when she was near him?
She tried to shrug the thought off. ”Pick up your backpack and follow me,” Rikku chirped. She turned, hoping the boy would follow and headed towards the spot. It was a nice, peaceful, and serene spot and it didn’t take that long to get there. The mysterious Grecian girl set her backpack down lightly and turned back around again, hoping that Drew had followed her.

Drew grinned at her small joke, it was the little things that kept him going and that was the perfect thing to uplift his spirits after the events that had unfolded before. He nodded when she said she had found a good spot to study close to the woods. He was glad that he had brought some snacks with him, because walking from the woods to the school is a hike.
”Pick up your backpack and follow me.”[/b] "Okay, Miss. Bossy," He teased, before he attempted to pick up his backpack. Drew struggled a bit, especially when he was trying to get it over his shoulders because of the massive amount of weight it held. But he got it on before she had gotten too far away from him.
He took a couple of careful steps down the fron stairs, afraid he would trip and fall down them, because his backpack had thrown him competely off balance. "HEY! Wait up!" Drew called, as he began to run towards her, which was a huge and embarrasing mistake.
Drew fell, face forward into the cold grass and layed there for a moment. He stuck his head up in the air to see if she had seen him. "I'm all right!" He called after her again, and stood up all the way. Instead of putting his backpack all the way on, he just dragged it behind him until he made it to where Rikaeyu was.

Rikku will admit it, she had blushed when called 'Miss Bossy'. She thought is was kind of funny, too, seeing in which she was always showing her more passive side at school... except for that morning. Goddess, now she was thinking of what happened that morning at she started to feel rather horrid again. How could she have flipped out on her best friend? She had been such a bad mood earlier that it surprised her.
Well, she had been to distracted to have heard him cry out to her to wait up but when she was standing there, waiting, she had heard him fall. Her ears perked up, well perked up as much as a human's ears could. She felt her self tense up, wanting to go and run to him, make sure he was really okay. But before she could, she saw a black bird, a raven to be exact, flying above her. The girl rolled her eyes and turned around, knowing that it was her raven, Edgar, spying on her. "It isn't a date, I already told you that, my dear Edgar. Why must you spy on mer?" she said as the bird hovered in front of her. 'I worry for you, Rikaeyu. And I promised Damian that I would watch you, didn't I?' the bird replied. Rikku simply giggled and nodded her head. "Be off with you, Edgar. I'll update you later, no need to spy. And tell Alaizabel that she can stop trying to spy on me as well," she finished. The bird complied, cawed three times and flew away, or at least out of her sight.
Rikaeyu sighed and turned back around again only to see Drew there. She suddenly became concerned. "Are you alright? I heard you fall but I got... held up?" She paused, realizing how dumb she must sound.

Drew kicked his backpack away from him, he was kind of pissed off at it for embarrasing him. He should have known better than to bring all of his books with him. This was a perfect eample of how little Drew thinks during the day, it was all thanks to the stupid school system and the boring classes.
"Are you alright? I heard you fall but I got... held up?"
Drew looked at her kind of funny. "You sound unsure?" He said to her, confused at what she had said. How could she have gotten held up? There was no one else around. Drew knew that because of this, it would be the only thing he would be focusing on during this study session, so he might as well just get it over with now.
"Were you talkin to that black bird or crow thing?" He asked her, based off of something he thought he had seen while on the ground. Drew wasn' trying to be rude about it, but it was just going to bug him to no end. "Definitely not tryin' to be mean or anything...but were you?"
Yes, Drew had a habit of sticking his nose into places where his nose did not belong. It was just that he had always been a curious kid. The one that endlessly asks the question "Why?" after everything his parents say before they reach their melting point and tell him to shut the hell up. He knew that it was never a good thing to do, but he hoped that since Rikaeyu was a good frind of his, she wouldn't mind.

Rikku looked down slightly, a bit on the sheepish side. She only sounded unsure because, well, she didn’t want him to think she was crazy. Seriously, if you told your friend that you were talking to a bird, what do you think they would think? Well, Rikaeyu didn’t want to take that risk.
Then Drew said something that caught her off guard.
"Were you talkin to that black bird or crow thing? Definitely not tryin' to be mean or anything...but were you?"
Her cheeks became a light red and she smiled simply. ”He’s a raven, for one thing, Drew,” she cooed. ”And, well, yes. Edgar is one of my pets. And understanding what animals say is one of my abilities. I like talking to him…” She paused, giving Drew a moment to process that. ”Edgar is a bit overprotective and loves to spy on me. A promise he had made to a friend at home. I can do a lot more than just change my hair, you know,” she informed him.
She didn’t want to really get into everything that she could do. Her ‘secret’ ability was one no one at school knew of and that was how she wanted to keep it. Rikku sat down. ”So, what do you wanna do first?” she asked him, swiftly changing the conversation, or at least she hoped. She probably chose the wrong words but she knew he would know what she had meant.
