Nothing in life was a beautiful as the last bell of the day. Students poured out into the hallways, screaming and talking to the point it sounded like a huge buzzing sound vibrating back and forth off the lockers. Cell phones were whipped out, the flirting began at once between the sexes and sometimes even the same sex. High school, no matter what gifts you had, were all the same.
Allison Arelix stood at her locker, with a content smile on her face and her notebook in her hand. Her homework was done, she hadn't fallen through any chairs today, and understood a math lesson for once. She turned the combination on her locker back and forth, humming the tune of 3oh3's I'm Not Your Boyfriend, Baby to herself.
"I'm going to kick back in my dorm, relax for once, then hopefully find something to do," she thought out in her mind as she turned to the last number. The locker stuck still, unwilling to open. Allison curiously rose her eyebrow, trying to pull on it again. But still to no avail. Anger started to swell inside of her, her stormy grey eyes narrowing at the locker.
"Oh just peachy," she muttered to herself. With a sigh, she glanced around. No one seemed to be watching her--no one ever did. With a sly grin, she placed her hand to the locker, focusing on it with a smirk of victory. Her hand slid through gracefully, the eerie cold feeling tingling at her hand. Allison grinned, fixing open the door as quick as she could. The locker obediently swung open, revealing all of her books and her navy messenger bag.
Allison victoriously pulled her hand out, regaining from the Phasing as her hand became a solid object once more."Take that, locker!" she thought as she pulled the bag out and tossed the notebook from her other hand inside. Allison started backing up, only to hit a solid figure. At once, she bounced back, crashing onto the ground in a mess. Pain rippled through her chest, but she refused to let it show visibly.
"Watch it!" a grumble said from behind her. A series of laughter followed quickly, making her safely assume it was an idiot jock. Rage shot wickedly up as she got back up to her knees, brushing the dust off and grabbing her bag once more. Allison spun quickly on her heel, but the boys were already down the hall.
"Idiots!" she bitterly shouted. Her locker slammed itself, her telekinesis taking by with her emotions. Her hand was coiled into a fist, her face was red from anger, and she was thirsting for revenge.
"Stop! Calm down!" her mind yelled at her. "Relax... Relax! Deep breaths! Just calm down!" Allison turned down the hall, fuming with anger and bitterness now. Beneath her breath, she began to hum again, desperate to keep her mind in control.
