Walking around the gym lineup, Frank looked up and down at each one of his grunts. Not much of a lineup. There were a few athletes, but very few probably understood the concept of "staying fit". His blue grey eyes shuffled around as his hands remained behind his back. He looked away in annoyance to introduce himself.
[red]"I'd like to welcome you to the seventh level of hell. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Frank Castle. At the age of 18, I joined the Army Rangers and fighting in Somalia was my first real mission. There I killed over 100 armed Skinnies each with the ambition of cutting my testicles clean off. Got out alive."[/red]
He smirked at some of the kid's expressions as he revealed gruessomely true information.
[red]"And I know what you're probably thinking right now. 'Why the smooth introduction?' Well maybe I want you pretty princesses to know me before we get to business. If any of you slimy fuckers think I will go easy on you because of your parents, a mental illness or your lack of caring, you are SADLY mistaken. If you try to succeed in my class you will inevitably succeed."[/red]
He began to pace again, whistle in hand.
[red]"I am not here because I care about YOU. I hate quitters and I hate babysitting. Show me some effort and I will show you some mama care. My mission is to get you in shape. If you try, you'll succeed. I guarantee most of you won't be able to perform these duties on this first day. Mostly because a great MANY of you rely on superpowers to get the job done. Well..."[/red]
He grinned and pointed at the metal framework in the walls of the gym.
[red]"Notice how this room isn't built like a typical gymnasium. The metal incasing is built with carbonite and alien machinery dedicated to block your powers out of this room making each of you as useless as the next. No powers mean we can focus on your physical health. Don't have powers? You're in luck."[/red]
He crossed his muscular arms staring at each of his students with the intensity of an Army Rangers drill instructor. He wasn't here to be their friend. He was here to train them. In his plain white tee shirt and jeans he didn't look intimidating. He was in fact one of the scariest men on the planet. If anyone watched the news, they'd know he was the Punisher. They'd know that he killed thousands of men in the past ten years. They'd know...
He blew on a red whistle he had in his hand and down came thirty or so ropes from the ceiling. He blew again.
[red]"WARMUP! CLIMB THE ROPE AND RING THE BELL THREE TIMES. LINEUP WHEN FINISHED! Five MINUTES!"[/red]
It would typically take a soldier or fit person three but he was going to go easy on them today. He kind of had to. No powers? Intense but it was what had to be done.

There were many, many reasons why Peter Parker hated gymn. This was one of them. It was bad enough that they had to do these kind of things, running around and looking like a moron. It was even worse that they let THIS creepy guy decide to be the boss of them. What was Mr. Wayne even thinking? He stood there wide eyed, off to himself as usual, and stared like an idiot in confusion. climb a rope? He wondered if he could cheat a little and use his powers for that. It wouldn't be hard, really, considering he could actually climb walls with only his own hands for balance.
Was that allowed here? Could he actually use that? Because really he didn't see any way that he would be able to get up that rope without it. He didn't even know how to hold it off either. His stomach grumbled and he realized he was already sweating bullets. He felt like a total whimp he knew. Peter didn't like excursions of this kind and he didn't like the fact that they were expected to do something that made no sense whatsoever. What would they gain by climbing up a rope? Probably nothing but the need to get back on the ground again, a need that he was feeling just looking at the rope in the distance.
Useless? Peter sulked and looked down at the ground. Great. He already felt useless even with his powers. Sometimes he felt like a giant spider just flopping around and doing nothing. Now, he realized why he felt even more off his game once he'd entered this little prison. not even senses were going off and it bothered him. what was wrong with this guy?If he didn't like babysitting, why was he even teaching?
Shaking a little, Peter finally made himself raise an anxious hand. One: because he wasn't sure how he was supposed to warm up. Two: He wanted to find a way to get out of this mess. "Uh...I get nose bleeds when I go up..things really high. can i not uh...I wouldn't want to well...ruin your floor." He said, feeling pathetic but if a nose bleed could get him out of this, then he would rather feel pathetic than dead.

Castle walked over and glared at Parker with a death glare. He read the boy's records. Photographer... Peh. This kid didn't know the first thing about being scary. He didn't even smell strong. His eyes scouted the kid out as he decided what to say with the angry look still on his face. Most of the kids were already climbing the rope.
[red]"Get your ass on that rope Parker! Or I swear to God I'll make your warmup worse then everyone elses!"[/red]
He knew that nosebleed thing was an excuse. And any blood that spilled in the room could get cleaned up. Ruin his floor... Please...

That was it. Peter looked bug eyed at the teacher as if he must be insane. His nose bleed thing wasn't an excuse really. Well, in this situation, it could be seen as one. but sometimes he really did get nose bleeds when he went up too high. It had been happening several times before when he'd tested out his climbing. That and he tended to get dizzy a lot too...Either way, it still wasn't fun. great. He should have kept his mouth shut and just attempted it like the rest of the students who were already up the rope.
He looked dizzily up at the rope in terror, his thoughts only interrupted by the loud and angry teacher he had managed to upset. Just what he needed. "Worse? But how can it be.."That was probably a dumb idea to complete that sentence. from what he knew about this guy, the teacher would probably just yell back how much he COULD make it worse. He winced at the yelling and tried to look bravely at the rope. it couldn't be that bad, could it?
He nodded, unable to say anything else without furthering anymore embarrassment than he already was. Maybe he was the only idiot that was stupid enough to say anything to this guy.It was the first time that he'd been to class after all, his sick excuses were starting to run out already. Next thing he knew he'd be trying to skip class thanks to sculiosis or AIDs. For a long while he stared at the rope, sure that maybe staring at it would help him climb it. Finally, he grabbed onto it and attempted to shimmy up. Moments later, he realized he was still on the ground with both feet and making a fool of himself by just hanging on. "I'm..not sure...sure how you're supposed to do this."

Drew always hated gym. It was always his least favorite class in middle school. Gym was just a stupid class where jocks get to show off and where nerds get picked on. And due to the teachers little introdution, it didn't seem any different. Drew just did what he did best, stay quiet. If he opened his mouth, it would probably lead to some cruel phsyical punishment. He looked over at the kid who was stupid enough to stay something about nose bleeds. Of course, Mr. Castle didn't seem to sympathetic, so he made the kid go first.
It looked as if Drew and that Parker kid had some stuff in common, maybe Drew could give him some types on 'how to not piss off teachers.' He kept a blank face and stared at Parker attempting to climb the rope. It wasn't exactly working, he still had his feet on the ground. But, instead of offereing to help, Drew still kept his mouth shut. He knew it would be the right thing to do, but he couldn't afford getting picked on anymore, it did too much damage on him before.
Even though he had been training with Darcy, he wasn't an expert yet. Drew could defend himself from a few things, but could barely land attacks on his opponents. He was certain he was able to support his weight atleast a third up the rope, after all he had gotten knocked down more than a hundred times in the past week thanks to the training and everytime he picked himself back up. As Peter spoke again, Drew made a mental note to try and catch Peter on the way out, because he felt he could help him a little bit.

Frank glared at everyone in the room. He found it fair to give this class a little military treatment. Back at Ranger school, the D.I. gave simple instruction and anyone with failure to comply was kicked out of the first to third phase of Ranger training. The D.I. was tough. But he was fair. He made sure the men understood that besides the fact that he was in charge of them, he performed all duties with them. To show them he could lead. Frank decided to use this method. He walked over to the only empty rope in the room. It was inbetween Parker and Drew. He glared at both of them as he noticed Drew was climbing the rope at a reasonable pace while Parker wasn't. He faced Parker with his hands gripping the rope as he slowly pulled himself up with ease. His feet crossed at the rope to ensure that it wasn't just upperbody strength he was using.
[red]"Like so..."[/red]
He began to climb higher and higher and when he noticed Parker still hadn't moved, his death glare continued to press.
[red]"Come on Parker! Make an effort!"[/red]

Peter looked desperately to Drew in hopes to get some kind of encouragement. Or maybe a way out of it but none came. He grit his teeth and shuddered, still holding hard onto the rope as if just being there would keep him from falling. Leave it to him to be the last one to try this. IT seemed that everyone else didn't have a hard time climbing up there without their powers. Just looking up made him dizzy and Peter didn't like it. He didn't like it at all. He looked back down and jumped when the man yelled at him...again. now his teacher probably thought he was a coward on top of everything else.
"I am!I don't know how to climb this without my..."HE frowned and clung before trying to scuffle up the rope. He only managed to get a few inches off the ground but still clung onto it desperately. This wasn't good. "How am I supposed to get all the way up there?"HE asked, hoping the other students didn't think him a total loser. He didn't doubt it though and Peter just wanted this to get over with. It just killed him how easily it would have been with his powers. He would have been at the top by now and right back down but this was bad enough. Peter felt absolutely useless.

Drew made it as far as he could, it was a little over three quaters of the way up. His arms began to hurt and he didn't want to push himself. The last thing he wanted to do was fall and get laughed at. He began to gradually lower himself down the rope, as he did so he saw Mr. Castle show Peter how to do it. Drew could not stand it anymore, it was like seeing a sibling getting yelled at. What would you do if your brother was getting embarassed? He hoped off the rope and walked over towards Peter, giving Mr. Castle a disgusted look.
Yelling isn't going to help him at all," Drew spat, and folded his arms. "I suppose you should give some time to practice, and focus on other students. Instead of picking on the weak ones," He paused for a moment, "No offense Peter." Half of Drew felt that talking back to Mr. Castle was an huge mistake, the man could probably kill him off in a few seconds. But the other half was glad, this little outburst of his showed that he wasn't the same wimpy nerd that started off being the school punching bag.

Frank finished climbing the rope and dropped down. His feet almost shook the ground with a thud as his eyes glared with disdain at the student who just barked orders at his teacher. He walked close to the boy, his bigger body frame overshadowing. His glare remained ice cold.
[red]Thirty perfect pushups. Now."[/red]
As he got the boy to get down on the ground, Frank got down and faced him as well. Students were staring as they all walked over. While Drew was doing pushups, Frank was perfectly mimicing. He said perfectly aloud to everyone while making contact with Drew.
[red]"Note that I am doing the pushups with Drew at his pace. Note how he does these perfect pushups slowly because they are difficult. THEY HURT don't they Wallace?"[/red]
He kept glaring and continued with a loud voice so everyone could hear.
[red]"They DON'T get any easier folks. None of it. I am here to get you in shape and that's what I intend to do. You may come to hate me. I am tough. But fair. Every activity we do I will perform as well to guide you on this crusade of 'getting fit'."[/red]
He stood up after the perfect pushups he did with Drew and turned to face the class. Drew tired or not pulled out thirty perfect pushups.
[red]"You think you kids are fit, leave. Nobody's stopping you. I'll fail you because when you quit in your fitness you fail in LIFE. But leave if you really feel this way."[/red]
He pointed to the door of the gym. Nobody moved.
[red]"Noone? If you want to be here you have to be willing to sacrafice some hard work! You have to want to be able to kick some punk's ass with greater ease then you ever imagined. I can help you ladies and gents achieve this. But you have to want it. Any questions?"[/red]
He turned to Parker and walked over and crossed his arms.
[red]"Parker. Leave if you really want. But if you stay I will make a man out of you yet..."[/red]

Peter looked nervously back at the teacher and then at Drew, automatically feeling sorry for him. At least he didn't have to get down and do push ups. Otherwise, he would still be doing them at the moment. He'd feel ridiculous even more so and he didn't like what was going on. He felt weak, he knew it, and he could understand why Drew would call him that. At least he had said no offense. Not like that didn't matter. Usually, even when you said no offense, it still offended people no matter what you did.
He sighed and looked back at the teacher, scowling as he grasped the rope. "Is that a trick question?" Peter squeaked and hoped that he wouldn't think him worse for really wanting to leave. He wasn't a coward. He just was allergic to falling down to his death from a rope that he didn't even want to climb. Peter sighed and looked back at him, wondering what to say this time.

Drew dropped to the ground and started doing his thirty push ups. He wasn't going to talk back again, it would just make things even worse. As he was doing his push ups, he was surprised to see Mr. Castle getting down and doing them to. Drew didn't get it, most of his gym teachers watched and yelled at the kid doing push ups. But Mr. Castle didn't. He tried to think nothing of it, continuing his push ups while the teacher was going on some rant about getting kids in shape or whatever. Drew tuned him out, he wanted to concentrate on his push ups, as he pushed sixteen he could feel his arms begin to tire, and he began to take a slower pace.
After doing the thirty push ups he was assigned, he stood up and shook his arms out a little bit. Drew took one last look at Mr. Castle, before walking towards Peter. "Hey, uhm, just climb. Okay? Get this whole thing done and over with. It doesn't matter how high you get, just go as far as you feel comfortable." He said, reassuringly and gave Peter a small pat on the back. Drew headed back towards the crowd of students who had watched the entire situation, it was sad to see no one else stand up for Peter, but Mr. Castle was a pretty intimidating guy, so he didn't blame them.
