Drew was curious about the city he now lived in. He was more of a suburban boy, who grew up in a small town with a yard and a swingset. The only city he had ever been to was Metropolis, and that was for a field trip in middle school. So, Drew thought that maybe he should take to the streets when he was finished his studying, and just look around the town. Figures studying would take him around three hours to finish. It was now around ten thirty in the evening and he was just walking alone down a lonely road.
He found himself infront of an ancient building. It was called Arkham Asylum. This building intrigued him, because apparently all of Gotham's loons resided here. It made him think because half of his teachers were crazy, why weren't they here? Drew folded his arms because of how cold the nights had gotten. He silently watched his breathe float for a few moments. As he watched his breathe he noticed that this part of Gotham wasn't as beautifully lit up, like the main part. Why was that? Millions of questions filled his mind as he stared up at the spooky building.

The black wolf stretched out its white paws, its jowls opening wide as she yawned, when the young shifter caught a slightly familiar scent. 'Why do i know that?' she thought. The wolf picked up her gloves and began to follow the scent until it led her near a very fearful building. Arkham Asylum. 'When they find me, is that where i will go?' The thought made her want to turn around but the interesting scent made her go on.
When she spotted the boy, she cocked her wolf head and dropped the gloves. It was a good thing that she had learned how to make her clothes change with her. Rikaeyu cringed a bit in delightful pain and felt the change. With in a moment, she was her usual self again and she was slipping on her gloves. Of course, she had no shoes, but she could survive.
She walked a few steps and stood behind the boy. The you shifter was nervous, but she raised her gloved hand and tapped the boy on the shoulder. "He-hello. Wha-what are you doing in this part of the city. It is very dangerous, you know." She blinked her eyes and hoped that she didn't scare him.

Drew could not stop staring at the building, it was so intriguing. And to think, the principal of South High was insane enough to hire people from Arkham. He had heard from around the school that Victor himself had been in Arkham at one point. It was kind of creepy. Drew took out his cell phone and took a picture of it quickly, there wasn't much light, besides an old lamp post, but he had gotten a decent picture of it.
He quickly tucked his phone in his coat pocket and was about to leave when someone said something to him. Drew looked over at a girl, she looked really familiar. "He-hello. Wha-what are you doing in this part of the city. It is very dangerous, you know." He shrugged. "I guess I was curious," Drew said like it was nothing and just gave her a weird look. "What about you? Why are you out so late?" He asked her, taking a few steps towards her.

Rikaeyu blinked lightly and shrugged her shoulders. How would she explain why she was here. She couldn't just say, "Yeah, i smelt something familiar while i was in an animal form and decided to check it out." Or maybe she could. She didn't know. He smelt human, yet there was something just a tad off. Was he special? It was possible. No one in Gotham is what they seem.
Rikku took a deep breath and finally answered. "Um... well, you see." she sighed. "Don't think i am crazy when i say this, okay? I was walking around the city in an... animal form, so to speak. A black wolf with white paws. Animals have an excellent sense of smell, you know. So,i thought i caught a whiff of a vaguely familiar scent and i followed it." She shrugged her shoulders and looked at the ground, a blush of embarrassment fluttering onto her cheeks. "And then i saw you. I guess i was a bit curious too."
Rikku began to play with her gloves a bit. She was very nervous. Just the thought of this building possibly being her home one day made her feel so. She closed her eyes and sent a quick prayer up to Selene before looking at him once more. "I-i thought that i might know you. I'm pretty sure that i do, but i can't seem to remember. I'm Rikaeyu. My i have the privilege of your name too?" The young shifter took a step backwards, not wanting to get too close.

Drew nodded a little bit at her answer. It was unusual, maybe she was on drugs or something. Or maybe she was an escapee from Arkham. Then it hit him, maybe she was special, like him. Oh-kay.." He said, unsure as to how he should go about talking to her. "So..you can turn into a black wolf with white paws..." Drew repeated and tried to think of a logical explanation for this.
"So..you can shapeshift?" He asked, and put his hand on his chin while thinking. She didn't look any different than some random person off of the street, and hopefully she wouldn't think he was crazy for asking if she could shapeshift. "Oh yeah, erm, well I'm Drew Wallace." Drew answered and gave her a small nodd. "Nice to meet you," He added, still he couldn't break away from his polite nature. "Yeah, well if you think I'll believe you with your story of being an animal, than I suppose you should be able to believe mine." He spoke somewhat softly.
Drew shrugged his shoulders a little bit before continuing. "I can turn invisible," he said as if it was nothing. "But I don't know how to control it yet, so I would show you..but I can't."

She scratched her head and tried to smile. "Yes... I can turn in to a black wolf with white paws... And any other animal i want to, really. And i can change my eye and hair color. As if to prove her point, she rain her gloved hand through her red hair. As she did, her hair became a pale-ish yellow. "See?"
"Oh yeah, erm, well I'm Drew Wallace."
"Drew Wallace." She was testing the way it sounded when it came out of her lips. "Well, it is very nice to meet you, Dr-drew. Her voice was becoming a bit shaky. "That name... why does it sound familiar?" She asked, to no one in particular.
He told the young shape-shifter that he could turn invisible. That seemed to amaze her. She wished that she could do something like that. The girl nodded. "Do not worry. I believe you. That isn't all that hard to believe."
Rikku crossed her arms as a shiver went up her spine. It was a little cold at the moment. "You attend South High, don't you?" It was barely a question, more like an observation that she hoped was correct. If it was, then it might help her remember why she knew this boy.

Drew only nodded again after she showed him that she could change her hair color. It was a surprise to him that she knew how to use her powers fully, and how he could barely make himself turn invisible. "That's really cool," He said and gave her his trademark 'Drew smirk'.
He might have given her a weird look, or might not havem he couldn't tell but he was trying to figure out why her voice was all shakey. Drew shrugged when he couldn't tell if she was talking to herself or if she was talking to him. "I don't know," He didn't remember seeing her anywhere, but who knew, maybe they used to go to school together or something.
Drew smiled at her when she said she believed him. "Oh yeah, I go to South. Weird school, isn't it?" He said and shook his head, thinking about all of the psycho, mean teachers thay worked there. And there were a few insane students he knew as well.

His smirk was rather endearing, or at least she thought it was. Rikku sighed when he answered her. It wasn't like she had been asking him per say, but it was nice that he had answered her anyway. She finally got up enough courage to take a few steps forward and she was able to get a better look at the boy. He even looked familiar... why couldn't she remember? Must all of her past be in a haze.
"Oh yeah, I go to South. Weird school, isn't it?"
She nodded in agreement. "It is the only school that i can remember... but the teachers really freak me out," Rikku said. "And a lot the kids there are very rude." So he goes to the same school as her. Maybe they had a class together or something. She wished that she would just remember.

Drew laughed quietly at what she said. "I know, some of them are freaky while others are just complete assholes," He said and rolled his eyes, he knew a lot of teachers who were assholes. Drew stuck both of his hands into his pockets and looked around at how dark it had become. "Oh yeah, just because they have powers doesn't mean they can treat other people like complete crap," He answered, he also knew a lot of rude students.
Drew walked up to her and stood next to her, looking behind her. "So, it's kind of late. Do you want me to walk you back to the dorms?" He asked her, like she said, Gotham was a dangerous place at night, and since they were heading back to the same place he thought maybe they should go together.

Rikaeyu giggled lightly. "Definitely. Complete assholes." Boy was that the truth. They were some of the snobbiest kids she ever met. "it is a good thing that there are students like you. Ones that are kind or sweet. Well... polite might be a more appropriate word. I-i mean this is the first time, that I can completely remember, meeting you." She paused. "Are you sweet and kind? You seem so." Rikku bit her lip lightly, feeling a bit embarrassed. "You don't have to answer that, Dr-drew."
She noticed him walk up next to her and got nervous. 'Please don't have him touch my arm. They are not protected and i do not need to see any memories of his.' she thought.
"So, it's kind of late. Do you want me to walk you back to the dorms?"[/i]
Rikaeyu began to blush lightly. "Uh-um... Sure. That would be... that would be rather nice. I'd love it if you walked with me back to the dorms." She sent him a smile. Not a fake one either. This one was sweet and genuine.

Drew laughed a little bit at how she agreed with him about some teachers being assholes. "it is a good thing that there are students like you. Ones that are kind or sweet. Well... polite might be a more appropriate word. I-i mean this is the first time, that I can completely remember, meeting you." He nodded, even though he didn't understand half of what she had just said. Drew stared straight ahead, he could've sworn he saw something move in the shadows, so he didn't answer Rikaeyu.
Drew figured it was just a figment of his imagination, and ge turned back to her while she agreed to let him walk her back to the dorms. "Great, we better get going, I don't want to get raped or anything by the psychopaths who roam the streets and night," He said in all seriousness, crime rate in Gotham had increased even more, ever since South was opened. Drew started walking and signaled her to follow.

She bit her lip lightly. Rikku had been going on and on about something that probably wasn't important. She was just so nervous, though. She stared down at the ground for a moment, wondering if her pets were alright in her dorm by themselves. Wait, she had let them out. Oh, she could just imagine Selene's slender face pouting at the door. She hoped that that wasn't what she came back to.
"Great, we better get going, I don't want to get raped or anything by the psychopaths who roam the streets and night."[/i]
Rikaeyu looked back up at him and nodded. "But, i do not think that these psychopaths would be out around Arkham. Wouldn't they want to get away from this horrid place?" Her Greek accent was beginning to slip through her faux American one.
Rikaeyu began to follow him and soon was walking by his side. "How long have you been going to South High?" By now she had stopped trying to hide her accent. It had slipped, nothing she can do now other than speak the way she was born to.

Drew shrugged. "I dunno, maybe they would come back to break out their buddies, or to destroy so they would never have to go back again," He answered, and continued walking. Drew thought his explanation was a good one, but there were probably other reasons. Gotham criminals are very different than normal criminals.
"How long have you been going to South High?" Drew had thought about it for a moment, he couldn't give her an exact time. "About a couple months," He replied, giving her his best estimate. "Hey, you have a funny accent," Drew aid to her, he hadn't noticed it earlier. "Well, it's not funny, I guess it sjust different," He added, fearing that he offended the girl by calling her accent funny. "Achk, uhm, how long have gone to South?" Drew asked, trying to change the subject.

Rikku thought about his answer and nodded. "That does sound reasonable," she said. She walked for a moment, looking up at the sky once before letting her full attention on the boy next to her.
"Hey, you have a funny accent. Well, it's not funny, I guess it's just different."
"Umm... uh... It's Greek. I=i'm from Greece." Her cheeks began to get a little red with embarrassment. She was happy when he tried to change the subject. "I've only been there a few weeks... maybe more or maybe less. Do you like the school?"

Drew nodded at what she said about her accent. It did make sense, it sounded Greek. He walked a little bit in silence, trying to decide how to answer her question. "Its weird..and different," Drew stopped and shrugged. "Its okay."
They continued walking, it was getting really dark. Their only light was from the old lamposts every couple of yards. He looked back at her. "What about you? What do you think of the school?" Drew asked her, being polite since she had all ready asked him.
