(bang bang shoot shoot) Drew wasn't feeling like himself at all today. The entire day he just felt different, he was a lot more rude and cold to people that he didn't want to be cold to. He just thought it was puberty, until he bought that gun. Drew didn't know why, he just had an urge to buy a gun. Anyway, Gotham City was extremely dangerous place, so he thought he needed the protection.
It was around midnight on a cold Thursday night, and the streets were bar, except for the occasionally drug dealer. Drew was just wandering aimlessly, it was just ne of those days where he was unsure of what he was supposed to do in general. It might have been the stress of school, or the insecurities of being 'special' that led him to this state of mind.
He wasn't himself. Drew had the gun hidden in his right hand pocket as he walked the streets, ready for anything that may come for him. Maybe he was looking for trouble, maybe he was lost. He wasn't too sure.

Amanda skipped silently down the streets of Gotham, her dress flapping slightly in the breeze. Today had been one of her good days and she was at an all time high, she had even thought about wearing a t-shirt and jeans for this little adventure, that was something that rarely happened. It felt good. The only thing that could ruin it now would be the Batman or some psycho with a gun. What were the chances of them happening at midnight on a Thursday?
Reaching a junction Amanda smiled and looked down both sides of the new street. She decided to turn left. There seemed to be no one down this way, in fact everywhere just seemed empty. To this point Amanda had not met another person, nor had any cars passed her. In fact the only vehicles she had seen were the ones parked in car parks and the few at the side of the roads. Even though that was normal it still seemed slightly weird to her.
Laughing slightly the girl jumped on one of the cars parked by the kerb, the night stayed silent. She walked over the top of the car and then jumped onto another one directly in front of it, this time a loud alarm sounded. She really wasn't expecting that, in fact it scared her so much she fell off the car and landed in the middle of the road, lucky she had landed on her bum otherwise that might have hurt. "I hate car alarms..."

Drew sighed and took the gun out of his pocket. He stared it down for a couple seconds, realizing how dumb he was to actually buy it. As he was about to throw it into the darkness, where he would never find it again, a car alarm blared and something jumped down into the middle of the street. Drew became extremely freaked out by this, thinking it was some lunatic who had tried to hijack a car, but was unssuccessful.
So, he aimed at the figure and fired a series of bullets, until the gun was emptied. He breathed in and out heavily a couple times before ditching the gun and ran over to the person he had aimed for. Once Drew made it over there, he realized that it wasn't some psycho, it was some random girl who happened to be out at midnight. "Oh my god, are you okay?" He asked her, as he crouched down onto the cold pavement.

A bullet skimmed past the front of Amanda's face, then as she was standing up another hit her in the chest. Another in the stomach. A next one in the shoulder. This guy had bad aim but it still managed to sort her out. Amanda fell to her knees, her tearful eyes fixed on Drew, one of her hands clutched at her chest whilst the other pressed against her stomach. After a few seconds she finally dropped to the ground completely, she raised one of her hands above her face to check how badly she was bleeding and screamed in terror. She was going to die. Amanda could feel it, she didn't even need the bloody hand to tell her that.
"Oh my god, are you okay?"
She had the urge to just say 'do I look ok?' but she couldn't, she didn't want to speak yet. She just stared at the male, tears rolling down her cheek. Then she smiled and began to sing although it was difficult, she could barely breath, "well it's a marvellous night for a moondance with the stars up above in your eyes... Finally she fell silent, blood slowly beginning to pour out of her mouth, her eyes still wide open and fixed onto Drew. There was nothing, no feeling, no sound, no thoughts, nothing but darknessā¦ She was dead...

Drew stared at her in disbelief. He had shot her. He had shot her with his gun. And it looked like she was dying. It was like a nightmare what was happening. The girl was bleeding heavily and he just stared. Drew didn't even help her, though he really wanted to. But he could tell that nothing could save her now. He just looked into her eyes as she fell silent and just stopped.
His heart was pounding faster than it ever had as he ran from the scene. Drew ran all the way back to the boys dorms and quickly made it to his own. He was lucky he didn't have a roommate, or he would have been dead. Drew took a seat at the head of his bed and stared at the television, which was turned off. He couldn't believe what he had done. Drew remained that way until he finally fell asleep, hoping that that night was only a terrible dream.
