Chase was bored out of her mind. She was finished all of her teacherly duties for the morning, and right now she was trying to enjoy one of her two free periods. And of course, today there was nothing to do. She wished that she atleast had some papers to grade, but she didn't, so she would just have to make due with what she was doing now. Wandering the halls. Most of the time students got yelled at for doing this, but there was nothing in the rule book that prohibited teachers from doing it.
As she was walking, she couldn't help but think about where her life was taking her. It felt as if she was just going to roam around from place to place all her life, and never settle down. Her sister, who was about two years younger than her, had already found love, and had one kid. Chase envied her, and wondered why she hadn't been the first to settle down. The answer she came across was simple, and practically everyone knew it. She was mean, and ill-tempered and that doesn't exactly attract guys. Plus she was somewhat strict, judging from what she hears about herself from her students.
"Do you have a pass?" Chase asked a lone student in the hallway. He looked somewhat scared, and shook his head. She rolled her eyes and took a small peice of paper from her notebook. Chase scribbled something on it and handed it to the kid. "Now you do," She said, and began walking away. Chase didn't turn back to the kid, she did have small waves of sympathy for students, especially the shy ones. She clicked her pen a few times and rounded the corner, wondering where she should go next.

Conrad sighed as he finally put down his pen after two straight hours of marking work. It was one thing when he had to mark them after school was over but having to catch up with marking work whilst actually in school was another. It was boring. The only good thing was that marking work beat doing nothing, especially on a day like this when Conrad had most of the day free. Sighing he neatly stacked all the papers on one side of his desk and carefully stood up.
Pushing his chair under the desk Con casually sorted out his hair and clothing so that he looked presentable and less stressed. It really wouldn't be a good time for any one to get on his nerves. In fact he was probably gonna feel like this for most of the day. Stepping out of his classroom Conrad glanced up and down the corridor, it was almost empty as should be expected, the only thing out of place was a student walking towards him. The small boy seemed oblivious to his surroundings and was completely pale as though he had just had the fright of his life. "Excuse me, have you got a pass?" The young lad glanced up at Conrad quite shyly before holding out a piece of paper which Con took to brifly examine, "very well, not the standard type of hall pass but it'll do. May I ask who you got this pass from?" The boy seemed nervous as he replied with the simple answer of "Miss Pennington." Smiling Con handed back the piece of paper, "very well, have a good day." He laughed quitely as he continued his walk down the corridor leaving the boy to his own business, it seemed obvious that Chase Pennington would've given the boy the pass, any student would be scared after an encounter with her.
Rounding the corner at the end of the corridor Con froze, think of the devil and she shall come, Chase Pennington was just a bit ahead of him. Laughing he shook his head slightly and began to speak so that Chase could clearly hear him, "there's not many times someone can say that they've heard a story about Chase Pennington being nice. I've just met one scared yet lucky lad, claims you gave him a pass," he paused for a moment, "You aren't going soft are you?"

Chase stopped in her tracks when she heard him speak. She didn't like him at all, stupid Conrad Gallagher, he was all I can turn into a werewolf so I can walk around half naked. Chase turned around and glared at him. "there's not many times someone can say that they've heard a story about Chase Pennington being nice. I've just met one scared yet lucky lad, claims you gave him a pass,". Chase rolled her eyes, that little twerp..
[/color] She crossed her arms in front of her chest. Chase didn't have time to put up with incompetent idiots. "You aren't going soft are you?""What the hell are you talking about?" She asked him and narrowed her eyes. "I couldn't hear anything over my urge to punch you in the face." Chase growled and looked back down her end of the hallway, seeing if there was anyone coming because she already had enough warnings from the principal about threatening people. All she needed was for some snitch teacher or student to tell on her, and then she would have gotten her ass fired. Chase took a couple of cautious steps towards him. "I didn't expect to see you wandering around. Thought you would be out chasing cats and whatnot." She snarled at him. So much for going good. This made her realize that it wasn't a possibility for her to be nice. It just wasn't her.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Conrad merely laughed at Chase as she folded her arms and gave her statement, he laughed harder when he saw her apparently checking for people, "firstly, i'd like to see you try hitting me, just because you're a female doesn't mean I won't bite your arm off and secondly, as much as i'd like for you to get fired I think it'd be more fun if you stayed, therefore i'll warn you about people coming a couple of minutes before they get here." He smiled whilst putting his hands into his pockets and watching as Chase took a few steps towards him.
It was fun winding people up, it was definitely one of the perks to life, especially winding up those type of people who are easily annoyed. He was snapped out of his thoughts when Chase began to speak again, his gaze turning into a glare when she mentioned cats. Taking his hands out of his pockets Con clenched them into fists and let them hang by his side, "chasing cats is a stereotype, just like spineless females not being able to get a partner or ever being beautiful. The only thing is, with my hatred of cats and all, well I can break out of that stereotype. You on the other hand..."
Relaxing slightly and unclenching his fists Conrad took a couple of steps towards Chase. He was generally a nice guy who could get along with anyone, however this time it seemed personal and things had to change, and if that meant he had to lose the Mr Nice Guy image then so be it.

Chase rolled her eyes at him. "I would like to hit you, maybe knock that stupid grin right off of your face, but I would lose my job," She said and gave a small shrug. "And the economy today isn't that great..so..." Chase shuffled her feet a little bit, while listening to what he was saying. She really didn't like Conrad, and she didn't like him for pretty much no reason at all.
"Hey, shut up! Its not like you've had a date since the beginning of this year. I've had like two. But you've had zero, so you better watch it," Chase wasn't lying, even though what she was talking about weren't really relationships. They were more like 'flings'.
"Blah blah blah, I don't care what you think. Like I said, its not like you could get a date." And she thought she was pretty. Chase didn't care about Conrad's opinion, because what did he know? He would probably date some stray dog or something.

"Even if you did have the chance you wouldn't hit me, you're just talk and no action." He took a few more steps towards Chase, a grin still clear on his face. Conrad could have easily got along with Chase but they were so different, it was obvious that they were destined to hate each other.
Conrad sighed slightly when she mentioned dating, it wasn't that he didn't want to date someone it's just that it was hard. He had lost someone special in his life and he just couldn't get over that but for pretences he would act cool. Con chuckled, "two dates? Wow, that's sort of impressive..." Turning around Conrad began to walk away back in the direction he ha just come, "oh and Chase, don't try anything with the new guy, by time he's read the email I sent him about you he'll probably hate your guts..."
Getting back to the corner of the corridor again Con turned to face Chase and winked before going out of view. It was on the new corridor that he screamed out in pain as his bones cracked and his body began changing. His clothes tore to shreds as he finally became a wolf. Raising his head he let out the loudest howl possible before stepping back round the corner once more and fixing his yellow eyes directly on Chase.

Chase groaned, she didn't have time for this. Pff, look whose talking! You just use your gross wolfish look thingy to scare people," She answered him and watched him carefully as he walked towards her some more. If he was going to pull anything, she was ready, because she wasn't all talk and no action like he said. Or atleast thats what she thought.
Chase shuffled her feet slightly, she was a little bit uncomfortable talking to him, but she wasn't going to show it. Conrad did kind of scare her, but she couldn't show her fear. He would just make fun of her or something, and she really hated getting made fun of. She ignored what he said about how having two dates was kind of impressive. Of course, it was better than he could do. "oh and Chase, don't try anything with the new guy, by time he's read the email I sent him about you he'll probably hate your guts..."
That bothered her a little bit, actually, no it bothered her a lot. Chase's jaw tightened and her fists tightened. "I don't know who you're talking about," She answered, but obviously, she did. Chase watched him walk around the corner and thought that it was over. Until she heard a scream and he came back as a wolf. She stood there and stared back at his yellow eyes, she didn't flinch even though she was terrified. He wouldn't dare do anything.

The wolf placed one foot forward, his eyes still fixed on the female. His eyes narrowed slightly before he snarled. He wasn't usually like this, Con would never normally hurt anyone, yet now it seemed he was going to do just that. He had one thing on his mind, that was to teach this woman a lesson: stop being a bitch to everyone or the big bad wolf will get you. He took another step forward, a low growl in the back of his throat.
Scratching his claws at the ground the wolf began to creep backwards until his back legs touched the wall. His eyes stayed fixed on her. His body in attack position. The wolf snarled again and darted from the wall as fast as a speeding bullet, he leapt into the air aiming for the female, his teeth ready to tear her apart and his whole body weight ready to land on her.

Chase stared right back at him, unflinching and unmoving. She was terrified, and she knew what would happen if she didn't move. Don't do it, come on, its a school. You can't do this sort of thing in school. Chase thought to herself, though she didn't want to say it out loud because then she would be throwing away everything she had said earlier. She wasn't known as a coward and she wasn't going to let that change.
Chase watched him back up but still didn't move. She was waiting for the right time. He darted for her and leaped, then she felt a huge adrenaline rush. Chase took a small, but wuick side step to avoid the attack, lifted her foot high and attempted to bring it down ontop of his giant wolf head.
