[Darcy Leone]

They got there food and sat down at a table in the foodcourt. Darcy had a slice of Sabarro's pizza... Greasy. It was food at least. He took a nibble out of it, and then set the pizza down on the plate. His bright blue eyes made contact with the nervous girl.

[yellow]"Are you ok?"[/yellow]

He winked at her. He could guess she knew what was coming next.

[yellow]"You said you'd tell me."[/yellow]

[Victoria Cri]

Vi got a six inch Pastrami Sub, Doritos's, and a medium Mountain Dew. She couldn't help but feel weird. Butterflies, she hated them. They showed weakness and it meant her heart was in a place that she didn't want it to be.

Sitting down across from him at the table, she took a small of her sub. Her eyes stayed connected with his. They were just so gorgeous. "Ye-yeah, I'm fine." she said. 'Just fine.'[/i]

She knew what he was going to say next, so she set the sub down and took a small sip of her soda. "I guess i did," she agreed.

"It all depends on who you talk to," she said. That was always the worst way to start things.

'I hope he won't think I'm crazy.'[/i]

"I-i have this thing with my personality. Um, MPD, and each of my three personalities has different abilities. We all have basic things like speed, smarts, strength, and immunity to any type of toxin or such." She took another sip of her drink. "I'm Victoria and I can tell when someone is lying not matter what, can control fire, and can hypnotize people. That is why i was sort of nervous about looking into your eyes. Your staring made me a little frightened that i might have unknowingly hypnotized you." Awkward... or at least to her.

"Then there is Vivian. She can turn invisible, has a slight control over wind, and is telekinetic. And she is the iffy one.

"Lastly is Vironcia. She can control water, duplicate herself, and do something we all call memocide. Don't ask, i'd rather not explain." Victoria kept her eye contact with Darcy. "And what about you? I presume that you are just as normal as me. What can you do?"

[Darcy Leone]

Darcy looked at her and stared sternly with his cold blue eyes.

[yellow]"You can sense lies in me so I guess there's no point in me lieing to you."[/yellow]

He took a small bite of his pizza and continued.

[yellow]"I'm 16. I have been 16 for 400 years. I was a French Nobleman who traveled to Saudi Arabia in the 1700's and encountered a group of supernatural villains. Villains that could instill fear into the most powerful of minds."[/yellow]

His eyes narrowed and looked away. It was hard telling her this. But he figured she was a quiet kind of person. Like him.

[yellow]"I joined this group of assassins and within 6 months training, I became the most powerful of them next to my master. I became his apprentice. He took me to a secret hiding place, only discovered by a handful of men. It was a hot spring that gave anyone who bathed in it 1000 years immortality. I bathed in it."[/yellow]

He hoped she didn't believe he was feeding her a line of bullshit. It really wasn't. Then again even if it sounded proposterous, she could look him in the eyes and see that he was telling the truth.

[yellow]"I'm old enough to be your ancestor. I have skills in various fields. But I am most talented in killing people. When the balance of a place becomes compromised, it is up to the Immortals to destroy that evil. I am the last one who knows where that cursed spring is. Hopefully... It will stay that way."[/yellow]

She sipped on her soda and listened. He was rather interesting. When he looked down, she hand instinctively reached out to keep his eyes looking into hers. Everything he said intrigued not only her, but Viv and Niica as well. An assassin? She liked this guy.

As he finished, she retracted her hand. "Um, sorry about that. I just had to make sure," she said. Well, at least he didn't think her crazy. He was just as strange as she was.

"So, a trained assassin? That's pretty cool." She couldn't think of what to say to him. Maybe she should figure out why he had a very familiar air around him.

"You go to South High?"

[yellow]"Yes I do. You seem familiar."[/yellow]

He couldn't think of much else to say. Like her he was invited to this school. Invited cordially and very welcome. He didn't know how. Or why for that matter, but he developed his own purpose for going back to school. Protect the weak and murder the evil. Protect the balance of Gotham. His eyes met hers and he couldn't help but smile.

[yellow]"You're really beautiful miss."[/yellow]

[Victoria Cri]

"Likewise. Maybe we have a class together." Class. CLASS! That was it. Misses Chase's class! "I think i remember now. You were the boy that called Mrs. Chase a bitch and walked right out. I gotta say, you really caught my attention. I wish i could've beat you to saying that to her." She wanted to say more, but she stopped herself. Vi didn't want to give everything away.

'Oh looky looky, Niica! I think Vickie is-

'Shut up! Shut up shut up shut up!'[/i]

Boy, Viv was getting her very annoyed. She continued to look into his eyes. Funny how they seemed to hypnotize her with there beauty.

"You're really beautiful miss."[/i]

For a girl who hated showing emotion, she surely did get flustered easily. Beautiful? Her and beautiful were never really used in the same sentence. Maybe the word crazy, but not the word beautiful. She didn't really know how to act. She could feel her cheeks turning red again. How is it that a boy she barely knew could get under her skin so easily.

It was like Harvey Dent all over again. She diverted her eyes from his. It took all her control to look away. But she did, though only for a moment.

'Nervousness, can't keep your eyes away, and the continual flustered feeling.'

'An' ya keep tellin' us ta shut up. We all know what dat means.'[/i]

Victoria could nearly imagine what her 'sisters' faces would look like were it a face to face conversation.

What could she say. For once in her life, Vi was utterly speechless.

When she finally diverted his eyes from her, he closed his and smiled. So she was into him. Funny how he told her he was an old man and she still had butterflies in her stomach. That was how the expression went Darcy was sure. He had a wierd feeling also. The cold hearted boy's heart finally stearted to beat. He opened his eyes and grinned.

[yellow]"I must be making you uncomfortable... Sorry."[/yellow]

He stood up and walked to the garbage can and threw away his pizza slice. Looking back over he smiled at her.

[yellow]"I don't know about you but I'd say that was a pretty good introduction."[/yellow]

He didn't want to creep her out. She obviously didn't WANT to like him. It just sort of happened. He had centuries experience with this. When a woman was speechless, you usually found it best to leave her alone.

She looked back at him, her smile finally softening. She shook her head in answer to his question. She wasn't all that uncomfortable. Not because of him at least. It was more like her feelings making her uncomfortable.

And then he got up to leave.

'Yer not gonna let 'im leave, are ya?'

'Of course she is. It's just her nature.'[/i]

She didn't know what to do. She didn't want him to leave, yet she also didn't want him to stay. What was she suppose to do.

After a moment, she took up her own tray and ran after him. "Not so fast. You said that we could finish shopping later. And it is later." She smirked. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all.

Darcy looked at the shorter girl and smiled another classic "boy next door" type of smile. She had mixed emotions. Must come with the MPD.

[yellow]"Alright. I guess we sort of agreed to that."[/yellow]

His face moved closer to hers. He could smell her breathe. And her bright green eyes yet again made eye contact with his cold blue.

[yellow]"Where to?"[/yellow]

He didn't have much else to say at that point. It wasn't like he was a smooth character and he tended to like the wrong women... And if she was wrong, why did it feel right to like her that way?

Vi's eyes were beginning to betray her. She knew that Viv and Niica would be happy at least. A lot more happy than if she was with Harvey. Maybe this was for the better. The closer his face got to hers, the quicker her heart began to pound. Her breathing was rather soft. She looked into his eyes as if they were the only thing she could see. Her cheeks were still warm, very warm.

"Where to?"[/i]

She pondered on that for a moment. "I guess it doesn't really matter. Where ever you wanna go shopping a guess."

'Ain't dat jus' sweet?'

'Who'da thought that she would ever find someone like him?'

'Ah can't help but wonder why she has ta like guys oldeh than 'er. Oh, it don't mattah.'[/i]

Maybe this time, her heart would lead her to a better outcome.

Darcy's hand went up to touch her cheek. It was almost hot. Her face was flushed as his lips were close to hers. Vivi was totally scared and happy out of her mind. And Darcy felt some emotion. Some. That's amazing. He smiled at her.

[yellow]"You're awfully warm. The Theatre's pretty cool. Let's go see a movie. I mean.... If you have time that is."[/yellow]

He took a few steps back and grinned. Hey, it was worth a shot. Can you say "first date"?

Vi let out an inaudible gasp as she felt his hand touch her cheek.

'This is a dream. It has to be. And yet, why does it feel so real?

'It isn't a dream, Vickie. Just accept it.'[/i]

She was just too happy. Her eyes closed as she took in a long breath. Vickie wanted to remember this day for the rest of her life. And she knew that she would.

"You're awfully warm. The Theatre's pretty cool. Let's go see a movie. I mean.... If you have time that is."[/i]

Her eyes reopened when she felt him back up. The movies? It sounded really nice. And she didn't really have much anything else to do anyway. Taking a few steps forward she grabbed his hand. "I'd love too." Not even the sounds of her sister's were audible to her at the moment. Maybe this was what it was like to be truly happy.
